FDA gives Advanced Medical approval for new lasik device
Advanced Medical Optics Inc., the eye-care company seeking to take over rival Bausch & Lomb Inc., has received federal approval for the first lasik vision-correction device for people who have difficulty seeing both close up and far away.
(National) May 29, 2006 - People with vision problems have to rely on glasses or contact lenses to be able to see clearly, but laser vision correction can change all that. Believe it or not, lasik is now in its second decade, and tremendous advancements have been made.
